I have been buying, then repairing and selling laptops and parts on ebay. My id is va721linux. I made a little money so I bought myself a laptop. I was looking around and this is what I wanted. On newegg this model or one about the same was around $900. I got this one for $550 plus it has the inlaid finish. I took the 100GB drive out with xp on it just in case I ever want to sell it. I bought a 60GB sata drive for it for $40. First thing I did before I bought the laptop was use google to see how well it was supported. It looked like everything would work, the only problem would be the wireless card. It looks like it will work with ndiswrapper and I have used it before so I went ahead and bought it. First thing did after I received the laptop was to boot the mini gentoo install cd and it booted fine. It will take a few days / weeks to install gentoo and get it the way I want and I will document the process here. I will include my .config file's for anyone that can use them.
